ClarityCam: a shot checklist in the camera Prototype screen

Know what was scratched before the movers touched it.

Every moving damage claim turns on one question: was it already damaged? Answer it before the truck is loaded. It works for the customer and for the moving crew.

"It was scratched before we picked it up."

Before loading starts

  1. Each valuable piece of furniture from every side, with existing scratches marked.
  2. Screens and electronics switched on, so it is clear they worked.
  3. Floors along the path to the door, and the doorways themselves.
  4. Door frames, banisters, stairwells and elevator walls.
  5. Mirrors, glass tabletops and artwork, up close.
  6. Anything already chipped, wobbly or broken, marked.
  7. At the new place: the same path, floors and frames before anything comes in.
  8. Any box or piece that arrives damaged, before it is unpacked.

Both sides sign

The crew lead and the customer can sign on the same phone. Each signature is tied to the exact photos that person reviewed.

After unloading

Shoot the same pieces in the new place. In After mode the app shows each before photo as a ghost, so the comparison is from the same angle.

If they say you did it

  1. Ask which item, and when the damage was found.
  2. Find that item in your before photos. If the damage is marked there, it was already there.
  3. Send the record. The independent timestamp shows it existed no later than the stamped time.
  4. Either side can check the evidence package at getclaritycam.com/verify.

What the record can't show

A record shows each item as you photographed it. It cannot show what happened inside a sealed box, or to anything you did not photograph.

Questions

I run a moving crew. Can I use it on customers' homes?

Yes. That is a crew job like any other in the pilot. Join below and type "Moving" as your trade.

Does it replace the inventory sheet?

No. It backs it up with dated photos of what the sheet lists.

How many photos is enough?

Every item that matters to you, from every side that could get damaged, plus the path in and out.

Can it show who caused the damage?

No. It shows what was there before the move. Who caused a new mark is not something a photo can show.
