ClarityCam: the other person reviews the photos and signs on your phone Prototype screen

Keep a friendly loan friendly.

Lending a truck, a trailer or a good tool is easy. Agreeing afterwards on what it looked like before is not. A minute of photos at the handover settles it.

"It already had that crack."

At the handover

  1. The whole thing from every side.
  2. Every existing scratch, dent or crack, marked.
  3. The serial number or plate.
  4. Gauges: fuel, mileage or hours.
  5. Everything that goes with it: cases, chargers, straps, attachments.
  6. It switched on and working, where that applies.

Sign without the awkwardness

The borrower signs on your phone. It is a quick way to agree on the condition without it feeling like a contract.

When it comes back

Shoot the same angles again. In After mode the app shows the handover photo as a ghost, so both of you see the same view.

If they say you did it

  1. Look at the handover photos together.
  2. If the mark is in them, it was already there.
  3. The independent timestamp shows the handover record existed no later than the stamped time.
  4. Either of you can check the evidence package at getclaritycam.com/verify.

What the record can't show

A record shows the condition at handover and return. It is not a contract, and it cannot show how something was used in between.

What a record proves, and what it can't

Questions

Is this a contract?

No. It records the condition and who signed, nothing more. Put any terms in writing separately.

Does the borrower need the app?

No. They sign on your phone, and you can send them a copy.

What should I photograph for a trailer?

The hitch, chains, lights, tires, deck and plate, plus every existing dent.

Can it settle who caused new damage?

No. It shows what was there before and after the loan, not how it happened.
